Introduction

The use of night lamps has become very popular in recent times. They provide a warm and comforting light that helps to illuminate dark rooms at night. However, many people shy away from buying these lamps because of the high cost associated with them. In this blog post, we will show you how to make a cheap LED night lamp for less than $1 using an old unused mobile charger.

Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

To make your LED night lamp, you will need the following supplies:

1. An old mobile charger
2. A white LED
3. A resistor 100 ohms
4. A PCB board or a stripboard
5. A soldering iron
6. Solder
7. A screwdriver
8. Electrical tape

Step 2: Assemble Your Lamp

Once you have gathered all of your supplies, you can begin assembling your LED night lamp. Follow these steps to put everything together:

1. Remove the brand name from your old mobile charger if it has one. This is important as it will make your lamp look more professional and also protect the brand's intellectual property rights.
2. Open up the casing of your mobile charger using a screwdriver. You should be careful not to damage any of the circuitry inside.
3. Locate the positive and negative terminals on your mobile charger's circuit board. These will be labeled accordingly and should be easy to identify.
4. Solder the 100-ohm resistor to the positive terminal of your mobile charger's circuit board.
5. Solder the white LED to the other end of the resistor. The longer leg of the LED should be attached to the resistor.
6. Attach the PCB board or stripboard to the back of your mobile charger's circuit board. Make sure to line up the positive and negative terminals correctly.
7. Solder the connections between the PCB board and the LED/resistor assembly.
8. Insulate the entire assembly with electrical tape to prevent any short circuits.
